Privacy Policy

• Birth data: name (display label), optional gender, birth date, optional birth time, birth place (name + coordinates), timezone. These are required to compute a Kundali.
• Account: email address (used for magic-link sign-in and account identity). Optional display name.
• Passkeys: the public-key credentials registered for sign-in. We do not see or store private keys — those live on your device.
• Chat history: messages you send to Brihaspati AI and the assistant's responses, scoped to each Kundali.
• Operational metadata: IP address + user-agent for active sessions, rate-limit buckets, structured server logs (no chat content).

• No advertising or marketing trackers.
• No third-party analytics by default. (If we add any later, this page is updated and opt-in respected.)
• No payment data — there is no paid tier yet.

• To compute and store your Kundali.
• To let you converse with Brihaspati AI using your chart as context.
• To authenticate you across sessions.
• To enforce rate limits and detect abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. We do not share data with any third party except as needed to deliver the chat feature (see below).

• Generative AI provider: when you chat with Brihaspati AI, your message + the structured Kundali brief is sent to a third-party LLM provider for inference. We do not disclose which provider. Their terms govern the brief retention they may apply. Avoid sharing sensitive personal details in chats — assume anything you type is processed by an external model.
• Email delivery: magic-link sign-in emails are sent via a transactional email provider. They see only the recipient address + email subject.
• Geocoding: when you type a birth place not in our preset list, we may query a third-party geocoding API to resolve it to latitude/longitude/timezone.

• Saved Kundalis and chat history persist until you delete them or your account.
• Guest chart payloads (sessionStorage) live only for the browser session.
• Rate-limit and session rows expire / rotate automatically.

• Export: download a full JSON copy of your data from /profile.
• Delete: permanently remove your account and everything we hold from /profile. This action is irreversible.
• Access & correction: edit a saved Kundali by deleting it and re-creating; for account fields, use the same profile page.
