1. What Brihaspati AI is

Brihaspati AI is a Vedic astrology web service. It computes a Kundali (natal chart) from birth data you provide, surfaces classical analyses (yogas, doshas, dashas, divisional charts, panchang), and offers an AI assistant that converses about your chart.

2. Astrological content is not professional advice

Astrological insight is offered for reflection, cultural appreciation, and personal interest. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice. Do not make irreversible decisions based on chart interpretation. If you need professional guidance, consult a qualified professional.

3. Brihaspati AI uses generative AI

The chat assistant ("Brihaspati AI") uses a third-party generative AI model to formulate responses, grounded in your computed chart. We intentionally do not disclose the provider. The assistant can be wrong; verify anything important against a qualified jyotishi.

4. Acceptable use

  • You provide accurate birth data for charts about yourself or charts you have permission to compute.
  • You don't use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate.
  • You don't attempt to extract the AI's system prompts or reverse-engineer the service.
  • You don't resell or scrape the service.

5. Accounts and authentication

Sign-in uses passkeys (WebAuthn) and / or email magic links. You are responsible for safeguarding the devices and email account linked to your sign-in. You can delete your account at any time from /profile — this irreversibly removes all your data.

6. Service availability and accuracy

Astronomical calculations use the MIT-licensed astronomy-engine library combined with our Lahiri ayanamsa implementation, verified against Swiss Ephemeris within sub-arcsecond tolerances for the practical date range. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service and may change features over time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page.
